At Scott Mobile, we’re building the future of connectivity — mobile, fibre broadband, Cloud PBX, and integrated communication solutions for Kiwi businesses and homes. Proudly New Zealand-owned, we deliver fast, simple, and reliable services designed for how people and businesses connect today.
We’re looking for a Senior Data Telecommunications and Cloud Integration Specialist to help us scale our technical capabilities, deliver seamless telco solutions, and mentor our growing team.
Responsibilities
This is a hands-on technical leadership role that blends on-site setup with advanced cloud-based integration. You'll configure and deploy 3CX and other Cloud PBX systems, manage API integrations across our CRM and provisioning tools, support fibre and wireless deployments, and resolve Level 1 support issues for voice, mobile, and broadband services. You’ll also provide technical support, education, and guidance in deploying and maintaining computer infrastructure and resolving system issues. You’ll work closely with internal staff and external contractors and report directly to the Director.
• Provide support, education and guidance in the deployment and maintenance of computer infrastructure
• Deploy, configure, and support 3CX and SIP-based VoIP systems
• Install, test, and maintain structured cabling (fibre, copper) and network hardware
• Respond to software and hardware inquiries and problems from end users
• Install and download appropriate software applications and updates
• Adapt existing programs to meet operational or user requirements
• Ensure the efficient use of applications and network equipment
• Implement and support computer networks and connectivity
• Integrate CRM platforms (e.g. Freshdesk, Zoho, HubSpot) with telco provisioning tools
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches (e.g. MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Cisco)
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Cloud PBX, voice gateways, and QoS
• Maintain technical documentation, project records, and as-built drawings
• Design and maintain internal websites and service portals
• Repair and replace peripheral equipment (e.g. printers, modems, terminals)
• Adhere to and promote Health & Safety best practices
• Mentor junior staff and support training on supported systems
• May work in a call centre environment when required
Requirements
• A diploma or higher qualification in Telecommunications, Networking, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in ICT or telecommunications support
• Proven experience with VoIP platforms (e.g. 3CX, FreePBX, Asterisk, Grandstream)
• Understanding of SIP, RTP, QoS, NAT, and firewall rules for VoIP
• Experience with telco CRMs and service platforms
• API integration knowledge (especially CRM or telco provisioning tools)
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and cloud-based project tools (e.g. Trello, ClickUp)
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and time management skills
• Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and client-facing
• Be available for 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work additional hours
• Must have own reliable transport to travel to client sites
Salary
$30 - $40 per hour
Start Date
